As a valued member of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, the Pool Manager is responsible for the management of the pool including facility and personnel management and visitor relations. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication skills and timely decision making. Reports directly to the Supervisor, Recreation Services.
The Pool Manager's role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including overseeing management and fiscal operations, supervising lifeguard and cashier staff, coordinating pool usage with contractors, and managing equipment at the Oxford Valley Pool. Duties extend to executing the Emergency Action Plan, promoting pool programs, and ensuring the pool's efficient operation throughout the season. Operating on a schedule of weekends-only from May to mid-June, seven days a week from mid-June to the end of August, and returning to weekends until Labor Day, the pool requires candidates with a current Lifeguard Certification, including CPR, AED, and First Aid. Preferred qualifications include a Certified Pool Operator/Aquatic Facility Operator certification, with essential knowledge in pool operations, sanitation, programming, and safety.
