Our Payroll Clerk must maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record and must be accurate and reliable. The Payroll Clerk must use excellent customer service skills when dealing with the client, the public, patrons, dispatchers, drivers, and fellow employees. Must have the ability to perform with high degree of accuracy payroll records, fare reconciliation, client invoice supporting documentation for revenue, paid leave tracking of all hourly employee, oversee employee pay rate change request based on union contracts, and other recurring reports.
Responsibilities:
Enters time from timecards into payroll system, transmits payroll, verifies paychecks, monitors overtime, ensures payroll procedures are always followed.
Provide support by responding to questions and concerns regarding payroll, personnel records, and employee profiles, to include answering telephone and company email correspondence.
Ensures all entries of operational statistics are properly entered for and prepares monthly management report for client. Generates daily, weekly, and monthly location specific reports as requested. Submit daily dashboard information.
Prepares for daily reports and reconciles location fare collection revenue to ensure compliance with company standard.
Exhibits excellent customer service with both internal and external customers.
Prepares and submits all hourly employee HRIS profile and EAF employee change forms, to include new hire, hourly rate changes, and terminations.
Assists Safety Manager with new employee recruiting, screening, hiring, and new employee intake processing, and process the new hire required company forms.
Performs daily input and reconciliation of hourly employee vacation and sick leave accrual and usage. Prepares and distributes monthly paid sick leave notices.
Special administrative projects and additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels including drivers, location staff, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials and general public.
Problem solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to input data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy, to make difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance (ability to operate a calculator by touch).
Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions and technical or legal terminology.
Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
