  Hours: Weekdays 5:45am to 1:45pm

  Salary: $95,000 to $100,000/yr (LCSW or RN);

  $145,000-$150,000/yr (DNP, DNPP, or NPP)

  Opioid Treatment Program Director

  This Director provides management and leadership direction to the interdisciplinary clinic team on a day-to-day basis. They work with the Medical Director, Senior Leadership, clinical and other supporting staff to ensure the overall wellbeing and safety of all individuals served. The Director is responsible for ensuring that this integrated interdisciplinary addition services program meets all requirements to maintain OASAS licensure and funding, integrated OASAS/OMH licensure, Joint Commission Accreditation, and SAMHSA certification for the agency’s free-standing Medication Assisted Treatment Program. The Director will champion efforts to strengthen the clinical skill and expertise of team members within the opioid addiction services.

  Responsibilities:

  Program Management

  Provides thought leadership in the field of addiction treatment and services, including the development of presentations, trainings, and written/video content.

  Provides strategic planning, coordination of coverage, and development of workflows and protocols to maximize efficiencies, quality care, and technology utilization.

  Serves as an agency representative in the community and with key stakeholders related to addiction treatment – is the primary contact for OASAS and the Department of Community Mental Health; attends provider meetings.

  Identifies needs and opportunities to enhance service provision and processes, as well as implements solutions, especially to mitigate participant risk and support well-being during recovery and beyond.

  Sets and monitors key performance indicators related to the quality of care and program success, including financial targets.

  Ensures compliance and documentation with oversight agencies, including monitoring of high-risk cases, participation in audits, responses to any corrective action plans, and maintaining licensure for each program.

  Provides clinical supervision and facilitates staff training (approves off-site trainings and schedules on-site trainers) as part of broader strategy to ensure quality care and safety and wellness outcomes for program participants.

  Ensures intra-site and inter-agency collaboration to meet the needs of program participants.

  Develops program budgets in collaboration with executive and financial leadership.

  Provides annual evaluations of direct reports and reviews evaluations completed by program directors; Reviews and approves timesheets and PTO/Sick requests.

  Interviews, reviews, and approves all new hires.

  Provide crisis intervention and be on call for crisis after hours as needed.

  Clinical

  Utilizes a strengths-based harm reduction approach to care and supervision, integrating best practices and clinical excellence.

  Directly provides assessments/intakes, individual and/or group counseling if/as needed for coverage.

  Leads interdisciplinary team meetings as well as ensures appropriate facilitation of interdisciplinary case conferences with program participants.

  Ensures appropriate care pathways are initiated and implemented for unique complex co-occurring challenges utilizing the collective wisdom of the interdisciplinary team members.

  For DNP, DNPP, and NP candidates:

  Provides assessments for admission to OTP; initiates medication orders for Medication Assisted Treatment of methadone and/or Soboxone; and provides medication management of prescribed MATs.

  Conducts psychiatric evaluations, prescribes psychiatric medications as indicated, and conducted medication management and monitoring.

  Coordinates medical care as well as safety and wellness processes for program participants to mitigate health risks and preventable deaths.

  Qualifications:

  New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Nurse practitioner or equivalent licensure. (RN and NPs must be Board Certified.)

  Excellent program management and supervisory/coaching skills, with at least 3 years of direct experience in an MAT/Methadone treatment program.

  A minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with individuals to support recovery from alcoholism and other addictions, co-occurring disorders, complex trauma and psychosocial stressors of poverty, abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, low/no literacy, and/or criminal justice involvement.

  Demonstrated passion and commitment to supporting the well-being and recovery process of individuals and families struggling with complex challenges related to alcohol and/or substance use.

  Familiarity with 822 OASAS documentation requirements, including Opioid Treatment Program-specific regulations, from assessment through termination.

  Familiarity with Westchester County System of Care and resources for the full range of behavioral health and medical needs.

  Ability to conceptualize and implement whole-person care throughout addiction services, integrating medical, mental health, addiction, and other social determinants of health needs utilizing a collaborative interdisciplinary team and harm-reduction approach.

  Entrepreneurial spirit and abilities to problem-solve, and quickly cultivate and implement solutions.

  Positive attitude and demeanor with an ability to engage individuals of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and needs.

  Experience with electronic medical records and budget development/management is required.
