The Department of Pediatrics is seekinga Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the InpatientPediatric Hospitalist Service. The APN or PA work in partnership withall Pediatric Hospital Medicine physicians. The Director of thePediatric Hospital Medicine APP Program will serve as the primarycollaborating/supervising physician located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin atChildren\'s Hospital. Children\'s Wisconsin pediatric hospitalists arepediatricians who specialize in inpatient medicine, which is clinicalcare for hospitalized children. They communicate closely with yourchild\'s primary care provider and other providers involved in yourchild\'s care. If there is a significant change in your child\'scondition, a pediatric hospitalist will update your child\'s doctor.When your child leaves the hospital, a pediatric hospitalist will giveyour child\'s doctor an overview of the hospital stay and detailedinstructions for any necessary further care. The Advanced PracticeProvider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care teamwho will contribute to excellence in program administration, patientcare, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. TheIdeal Candidate will be a pediatric inpatient experienced APP withcommunications skills, compassion, and detail oriented wanting to bepart of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at theMedical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility willinclude, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to infants,adolescence, and teens in an inpatient setting. In this role you will:Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the hospitalmedicine attending, monitor effectiveness of plan of care throughout thepatient\'s hospitalization; coordinate the care and discharge ofpatients.
