　　Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Interns to join our Network and Cable Decommissioning (NCD) team Dublin, Ireland. This internship is 12 weeks in Summer 2024.

　　A technical internship in Amazon will provide you with an unforgettable experience in a dynamic and international environment.

　　The Network Rack and Cable Decom (NCD) team’s primary focus is to reclaim capacity for our customers by safely removing decommissioned legacy network equipment and old cabling infrastructure, thus enabling a life cycle approach for the physical layer of our data center network, which will help utilize our existing Data Center space to its fullest potential.

　　By joining the NCD team, you will have the opportunity to build your professional skills while working with various teams and stakeholders to solve complex data center infrastructure needs.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　• Physical decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.

　　• Complete assigned work and priorities through ticketing system and/or workflows.

　　• Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.

　　• Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes and industry best practices.

　　•Read and comprehend data center build documentation, and site-specific layout material.

　　• Scope, validate and execute all work is ready for decommissioning on time.

　　• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, and stand for long periods of time in the Data Center and/or on a ladder.

　　We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

　　Dublin, D, IRL

　　Basic Qualifications

　　• In pursuit of Technical/Bachelors Degree or IT Certification within a relevant technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Networking/ Hardware Repair or similar graduating in 2024 or 2025

　　• Microsoft Office knowledge, basic skills in Excel including email management, scheduling, updating spreadsheets, report writing, etc.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　• Basic understanding of Networking and Data Center infrastructure technologies.

　　• Familiarity with network cabling failure scenarios.

　　• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

　　• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, displaying excellent time management skills.

　　• Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
