The National Account Manager is responsible for successfuldevelopment and execution of sales strategies to increase revenue andmargin with national customers (key accounts). The employee isaccountable for a portfolio of established accounts; and incentivizedfor incremental business with new customers in the assigned vertical.This is an external-facing role, which requires engagement at all levelsin the customer organization: C-level, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing,Engineering, Project Management, Field Operations, etc. The employee isexpected to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners todeliver both strategic and tactical outcomes, which may includestrategic framework agreements, annual volume forecasts, and day-to-daytroubleshooting. The role represents the full range of Generac products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develops and implements strategicsales plan focused on growing sales. Develops accurate and detailedmetrics to facilitate effective business forecasting and resourceallocation. Forecasts, develops, manages and achieves budget. Analyzesand reviews sales trends to identify opportunities and threats. Managesand grows P&L. Achieves contribution margin target. Works with theMarketing Department to develop initiatives/merchandising/packaging thatdrive sales efforts. Manages promotional opportunities to maximizereturn on investment. Manages sales pipeline for consistent flow ofsales opportunities. Develops broad and deep account relationships.Negotiates and closes contracts. Expands Generac\'s existing businessand focuses on ways to expand Generac business into new areas.Negotiates placement of new and existing products and programs withcurrent and prospective customers. Drives flawless customer serviceexecution, analyzes the current business and implements new strategiesfor customer service.
