Essential Job Functions:
Assists with oversight of all purchased goods inventories throughout supply chain.
Finalizes product assortment mixes with the guidance of the Director of Retail Merchandising and Projects.
Assists with analytical support includes, but not limited to shrink, inventory levels, inventory turns, demand forecasting, sale through rates and order patterns.
Provides peer counseling to stores; ensuring inventory management SOPs are followed and created to drive sales and reduce shrink.
Acts as point of contact and support for store operations team regarding all matters related to merchandising and inventory controls.
Assists Director of Retail Merchandising and Projects with analytics to drive future purchasing decisions.
Analyzes product sales and sell through performance to plan markdowns for all seasonal and everyday categories with Inventory Manager approval.
Creates and builds analytical and financial models.
Provides necessary and adequate supplies to ensure inventory levels are appropriate.
Reports balanced outcomes and results on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Analyzes store merchandising needs to ensure adequate levels of inventory to meet projected sales goals.
Attends meetings with Director of Retail Merchandising and Projects to review prior week’s purchases, vendor offerings and current product needs.
Assists with POS Data entry for purchase orders, item creation and other changes as needed.
Oversees all aspects of commercial service supplies.
Assists Director of Retail Merchandising and Projects on all general operations.
Ensures that retail stores and warehouses are following SOPs for new goods, supplies ordering, replenishment, inventory control and shrink.
Responsible for demand forecasting and seasonal product distribution.
Liaison with finance office to ensure balance between POS system and finance ledger.
Prepares and sends all product invoicing to finance department.
Assists Inventory Manager with cycle counts and store inventories when necessary.
Assists with vendor communication.
Maintains new goods mailbox.
Loads all merchandise promotions.
Supports visual presentation planning of purchased goods.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude, to be a great teammate, and role model.
Associates Degree in business, retail merchandising, or comparable business and leadership experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills that empower and support a team environment.
Ability to work independently.
High level of organization skills.
1–3 years, experience in corporate retail environment.
Solid understanding of retail analytics and mathematical equations.
Advanced analytical skills.
High proficiency with excel, access, and other Microsoft office products.
Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a vehicle with a safe driving record.
Criminal background check that meets agency standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
3 – 5 years inventory control experience with progressive responsibilities.
