Medical Clerks provide clerical support to a health care department by assessing patient needs and eligibility for health care services, collecting and recording patient information and fees, and providing Information and services to patients. Medical Clerks are also responsible for processing mail, creating and maintaining department communications, and managing department inventory of supplies. Medical Clerks work in an office and health care setting and work under fairly close supervision.
