  ABOUT THE ROLE

  We are seeking a highly motivated Media Manager to join our Awareness Media team on a 12 month maternity leave contract. Based in Sydney the ideal candidate is a passionate and organized individual with strong communication & project management skills, an eye for detail and an analytical mindset.

  You will support the Director: Awareness Media APAC in delivering effective media strategies & plans that grow our brand awareness, consideration and engagement, as well as managing the AU media laydown, budget controls, competitor tracking and test & learn deployment, while continually driving media process improvement.

  Working closely with our media agency, you’ll lead campaign planning, execution, reporting and analysis, and develop relevant initiatives to support the tracking, optimization and delivery of KPI’s.

  Collaborating effectively with Brand, Content, Performance Media, PR and Data & Analytics teams to ensure a holistic communications approach is also a crucial part of your role.

Being able to project manage complex tasks with cross-functional teams from different countries will be an important driver of your success, as will having a an infectious passion for demonstrating the ROI of your plans.

  Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who can help deliver a step change in our awareness media strategy & execution, and work effectively with internal teams & external agencies to think big, challenge the norm and drive the growth of Audible in AU.

  Key job responsibilities

  As the Media Manager you will...

  Develop and execute multi-channel Awareness plans that fuel new member growth. Key channels include (but are not limited to) TV, BVOD/CTV, Out-of-Home, Premium OLV, Social, Audio and Influencers

  Work closely with Director: Awareness Media APAC, to develop media strategies that grow brand awareness, consideration & engagement

  Develop and own campaign media briefs, managing internal teams on brief inputs, and shepherding agency response-to briefs to meet required timelines

  Drive full funnel planning & thinking, in partnership with the Performance Team

  Collaborate with Performance Media and Data & Analytics teams to understand and quantify the impact of awareness media spend on acquisition

  Develop test & learn plans for Awareness media spend to better understand marketing ROI

  Work with the Data & Analytics team to understand insights from Media Mix Modeling, and apply the learnings to future plans

  Foster a positive and constructive relationship with the media agency team and media vendors

  Develop a solid understanding of the influencer landscape, then work with our agencies and Brand & Content teams to develop local influencer strategies which establish the Audible brand in culture

  Demonstrate a strong understanding of the AU media landscape, capitalizing on any new opportunities

  Work closely with Brand & Content marketing teams to influence creative direction, and vice versa

  Assist broader Marketing & Media teams with recommendations on how to improve reporting and process

  Own competitor monitoring & reporting, making recommendations to remain competitive in our target market segments

  With finance, own the financial process, from PO approvals through to monthly budget reconciliation

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree with experience in a marketing role

  Analytical competency, with the ability to interpret data and explain insights clearly for to the required audience

  Experienced in developing effective Brand media plans

  Experience managing large, complex budgets

  Experience in managing media agencies

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  Preferred Qualifications

  Strong stakeholder management skills

  A keen collaborator who has a track record of influencing and driving results through persuasion

  Able to juggle multiple priorities and manage time efficiently

  Process orientated with the ability to proactively optimize ways of working
