Job Description

　　Insight Global's top telecommunications client is looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer to be part of the team responsible for supporting Contract Manufacturers (CMs) for existing product offering as well as for the next generation of optical transport products and components (100G, 200G, 400G, 800G, UULH).

　　The role of the Mechanical Designer is to design mechanical and electromechanical test fixtures, jigs and assemblies for product development, working on various projects supporting the Product and Process Engineers as well as CM manufacturing teams to ensure product yields and quality.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

　　-4 years minimum experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering

　　-Experience in Micro-optic/electronic assembly technologies such as die bonding, various flip chip process, wire bonding, lens/fiber/optics alignment, laser welding, glass sealing, UV curing and all associated tooling

　　-Experience in Elements of RF/Optical package and module design

　　-Experience in Micro optical assemblies, fiber optic processes, optoelectronic technologies, related materials, solders, adhesives, related components and manufacturing methods

　　-Experience in a formal development project environment is an asset null
