Job Overview
We are currently seeking a versatile and hands-on Shop Assistant to join our small team. In this role, you will work alongside 4-5 other team members in a small shop environment. Your responsibilities will include operating a manual mill and saw to cut metals, assisting with the assembly of machine guards, and providing support in shipping and receiving. Additionally, you will be responsible for drilling and tapping holes. As a member of our small shop, flexibility and willingness to help where needed are essential.
Responsibilities:
Operate manual mill and saw to cut metals according to specifications
Assist in the assembly and installation of machine guards
Support shipping and receiving activities, including packaging and labeling products
Drill and tap holes as required
Collaborate with team members in various tasks
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to safety guidelines and practices
Requirements:
Experience operating a manual mill and saw preferred
Basic knowledge of metalworking processes
Familiarity with assembly techniques and use of hand tools
Ability to assist in shipping/receiving tasks
Proficient in drilling and tapping holes
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability and willingness to perform various duties as needed
Compensation:
