JOB REQUIREMENTS: Linetec Summary of Position: Oversees all plantoperations activities to ensure peak performance now and into thefuture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, establish, andimplement long-range and short-term strategies and operating policies toachieve established departmental goals and objectives. Set clearperformance expectations for team members. Coordinate resources,optimizing facilities and equipment Plan and coordinate productionrequirements Leverage technical resources to maintain quality Foster thedevelopment of associates in a positive, productive environment Analyzecustomer requests/issues and make decisions for their best resolutionReview production processes and make recommendations to improve quality,reduce cost, or increase efficiency. Encourage team involvement inimprovement initiatives. Manage associate performance issues when neededto ensure a team-oriented workplace Establish appropriate metrics tomeasure process effectiveness and plant results. Report the currentstatus of production goals, compliance to schedules, and budgetconsiderations to VP, Operations. Represent manufacturing/operations oncross-functional project teams Apply statistical methods and performanalysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and increasedefficiency Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Leanapplication in company operations. Ensure written standard operatingprocedures and work instructions for key processes are in place ApplyLean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications incompany operations. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of a 4-yeardegree (could be in a technical discipline such as engineering orchemistry) and 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience inmanufacturing management Experience with multi-department responsibilityrequired Technical knowledge of finishing/anodizing desirable Excellentinterpersonal communication skills Strong customer service orientationAbility to build teams in a positive, fast-paced work environmentFamiliarity with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts Computer proficiency(Word, Excel, Outlook, Performance Management system) Strong written andverbal communication skills Physical Demands: Light - typical of anoffice environment or light industrial Required to sit or stand and moveabout the facility Occasional lifting required Work Environment: 75%exposure to the production environment (heat, operating machinery andnoise). Office duties require sitting behind a desk, performing tasks ona computer. Position involves limited travel. No significant physicalexertion required.
