The Capital Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and cost savings by creating strategies for managing capital spend and finding synergies in spend across site capital projects. This role will be report to the Capital Procurement Director, Nitrogen and Phosphate Procurement and will involve some travel across North America.Key objectives for the role:Develop and drive the 5-year procurement strategy for all capital projects across N&P production sitesSet procurement strategy for capital spend based on capital project scope to reduce total cost of ownership and improve risk and supply assurance for the businessDevelop initiatives to reinforce/improve performance and identify sources of valueNegotiate and manage detailed enterprise level contracts with suppliers based on capital project scopes, being proactive ahead of contract renewal dates and work planning accordingly on priority contractsManage end-to-end contract process including creation and compliance monitoring for site specific contracts, and contracts used for pooled resources across sitesCoordinate regularly with other procurement teams to collect business requirements and drive value for Nitrogen and Phosphate production sitesWhat you will do:Co-create with Category Management global contracts and agreements for materials that can be shared across capital projects and support local contracting for site specific needs such as defining scope definition for capital service contractsDevelop preferred suppliers for shared materials and services by region with key cross functional input from site leaders, site procurement, Category Management and central technical groupsFrequently engage with Site Procurement Managers across Nitrogen and Phosphate sites to understand site needs and incorporate learnings into updated category strategiesWhat you will bring:Minimum 10 years relevant experience (Industrial/Chemical) in strategic sourcing and supply chain managementBroad experience in supply chain, source-to-contract and source-to-pay processes and toolsBachelor's degree required, MBA/Master's degree an advantageExcellent ability to relate to suppliers, managers across sites and ProcurementAre you a good match?
