PROJECT COORDINATOR - SENIORS
Department of Family and Support Services
Number of Positions: 1
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing assigned tasks and special projects/initiatives associated with the program administration of DFSS’s twenty-one (21) senior centers and other divisional programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Monitors, oversees and provides technical assistance and direction to staff, contracted agencies and other program partners for DFSS Senior Centers and other assigned programs and services.
· Convenes, coordinates, and facilitates meetings and other communications with contracted agencies, service providers, and other partners, as needed to resolve operational issues, share best practices, and improve program performance.
· Reviews and compiles program reports, including monthly reports from staff, contracted agencies including identifying trends, informing program operations and ensuring accuracy of data.
· Conducts appropriate follow-up and investigation of complaints and incidents reported.
· Maintains centers’ property inventories.
· Created program promotion flyers, documents and brochures.
· Assists with Citywide Special Events and Activities, special projects and new initiatives
· Follows-up on work order requests from the senior centers and escalates critical issues.
· Performs narrative and statistical reports including data review and reconciling data collected to ensure consistency in reporting.
Performs other duties and fulfills additional responsibilities as needed.

Shift : Monday-Friday
Hours : 9:00am – 5:00pm
THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a related field, plus three years of experience in program administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Selection Criteria
This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview will be selected
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
Previous experience conducting and/or managing special projects and initiatives
Previous experience with budgeting and financial management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva and Adobe Suites
Previous experience documenting status and outputs of projects and processes
