::: {title=""}The Maintenance Manager will lead a maintenance team to perform a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify plant equipment in support of operations, including both preventative and unscheduled maintenance. Work will include technical projects focused on equipment reliability improvements.
Primary responsibilities
· Direct daily work of maintenance technicians to provide effective production support across 3 shifts/24-hour operation.
· Provide skill improvement training; coaching; performance management; and administrative record keeping for maintenance personnel.
· Lead continuous improvement projects and/or collaborate with project leaders to provide resourceful and creative solutions in the execution of continuous improvement projects.
· Provide project management, contractor quotations, and engineering assistance to continuous improvement initiatives involving facilities and production equipment changes.

Drive the utilization of our Maintenance Management System to document repairs and other work, including comments and pictures on repairs as needed to best capture the root cause.
· Manage the spare parts inventory to ensure part counts are accurate, transactions are timely, and critical spares are kept in stock.
· Conduct design reviews with safety and ergonomics focus on plant systems and production equipment changes.
· Generate operating procedures, policies, and maintenance programs as needed to comply with PGT, Linde, State, Local, and Federal regulatory agencies.
· Produce capital requests. Monitor expenditures and provide feedback to project leaders and accounting on project status. Assist in determining feasibility and costs of future projects.
· Establish and maintain department performance metrics to ensure efficient execution of maintenance support function.

Accomplish all work to maintain safety, reduce downtime, improve quality production, and improve plant efficiency.
· Interact and function as a "point of contact" for contractor(s) working on site.
·
Supports Production staff through effective and timely assistance and repairs.
·
Collaborate with team and production manager(s) on priorities, as it relates to the needs of the business.
·
Communicate effectively and share information, including coaching operations as needed.
·
Model the Linde, and PGT values and expectations.
Support and participate in current and new safety initiatives, policies and procedures, and business needs.

Qualifications:::

BS degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
·
Require a minimum of 5+ years of facilities or equipment related experience and be able to effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience in a "hands-on" environment.

2+ years Management experience
·
Must have personal computer proficiency and project management experience.
·
Experience with control systems, programmable logic controllers, and process equipment typically used in manufacturing environment.
·
Must be able to communicate ideas orally, in writing and lead a project team.
·
Six Sigma and lean knowledge
·
Required knowledge of skilled trades (welding, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
·
Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
·
Self-motivated with the ability to self-manage (set and achieve goals)
