Machine OperatorsPenn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for full-time Machine Operators to work at our Carbide facility. Analyze tasks and establish appropriate sequence of operationsRead prints job orders for product specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances and machine set-up requirementsSelect, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machinesSet-up and safely operate various machining equipment such as manual and CNC lathes, mills, jig bores, and grinders in order to machine or grind components to customer specificationsCalculate and set controls to regulate machining factors or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring devices (such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc..)Qualifications
Qualifications:Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust have strong math mechanical skills/aptitudeMust have the ability desire to do precision workAble to work well independently and cooperatively with teamsPrevious experience lathes, mills or grinders is a plus, but not requiredPrevious experience with blueprint reading and measurement tools such as calipers micrometers is preferredCandidates must be able to work daylight and afternoon shifts, stand 8-10 hours per day, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Shift: Primarily daylight, but position can require the ability to rotate to an afternoon and/or midnight shift when workload is elevated
