Job summary:
Amazon Web Services is looking for self-driven, well-organized professional to aid with the inventory management, part management and decommission of hardware related to our Data Center Operations in EMEA. The location for this job is Amsterdam.
We are looking for someone to liaise with our suppliers and internal teams in EMEA. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
The candidate is expected to align with financial and inventory management teams on a regular basis and respond to queries from internal and external customers. The individual should have good understanding of financial and procurement processes, be expert with Microsoft Excel and have fundamental knowledge of AWS networking infrastructure.
Ideal candidate will be interested in data center technologies with a strong drive to learn new skills. Inventory Management experience is essential. The candidate will be responsible for gathering data, generating, publishing and presenting metrics in variety of areas. Having good understanding of networking infrastructure as well as server hardware knowledge is necessary.
Documenting new knowledge, editing existing knowledge base inputs and knowledge share is essential.
This role requires travel up to 30%.

Key job responsibilities
RMA network equipment and working with RMA vendors.
Liaising with internal teams and 3rd party vendors on E-waste movements.
Decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware out of the data center facilities.
Relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment.
Hard drive installation, removal and destruction.
Creating/attaching labels and barcodes.
Documenting work procedures and practices.
Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.
Goods receiving, inventory cycle counts and stock control functions at our EMEA locations
Review and process of tickets via our ticketing system for parts requests and stock replenishments
Site visits to audit and review on site stock holdings
Facilitate with logistics and supply chain planning for remote project implementations
Generating metric reports for weekly/monthly reviews
About the team
EMEA Edge Org manages and maintains colocation data centres across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Responsible for Operations and Projects from Electrical/Mechanical and networking/tech team side.

Basic Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
2+ years of Logistics operations related to technical organizations
Good knowledge about computers. and network equipment
Basic PC components/hardware knowledge: HDD/SSD/Flash/Removable storage media, USB/FireWire/E-SATA, RAM/CPU/Motherboard/Input-Output devices.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of Logistics operations related to technical organizations (Preferably Data Centres)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge time zones
Demonstrated inventory management experience at scale
Previous experience of participating or running large-scale technology projects
Good data mining skills
Ability to carry out basic network and server hardware related repairs
Basic Networking equipment removal/installation and clearing of configurations.
