Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Designer to work as a member of the Water Business Group. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member for studies and/or detailed design and construction services for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and collection/distribution systems.Create detailed designs of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and collection/distribution systems.Prepare drawings to write specifications, analysis, and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and cost estimation.Assist the project manager throughout the design and construction phases of projects.Perform other duties as needed.Keywords: Water, Wastewater, Treatment, Pumpstation, Pipeline, Civil, Environmental, EIT, Engineering, Construction, HydraulicQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or other Water/Wastewater Engineering related fieldEIT or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title "Water/Wastewater Designer" until they receive their EIT.Self-motivated, an excellent communicator (written and verbal), attentive to detail, and able to work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a related fieldExperience in evaluating, designing, and/or developing drawings and specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projectsExperience with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management softwareMicroStation and/or AutoCAD experiencePreference is given to local candidatesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
