This role is based out of our Telford, PA facility which offers its employees beautiful walking trails, onsite fitness center with yoga and fitness training classes, self-service cafe with a large indoor/outdoor gathering space, and a state-of-the-art Design Center. Telford is our US manufacturing site for the Neonatal product line as well as production support for Drager's Safety products. This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.
We are seeking an experiences Logistics Assistant whose Primary Job Functions are:
Daily receiving and distribution of both Medical and Safety devices coming into the Global Service Center.Requirements are to unpack, detrash, check and verify items against incoming paperwork, receive items into the SAP system, and distribution to appropriate service areas.Additional requirement is to notify and help investigate discrepancies with received items.
Additional Job Functions:
Outgoing Material Preparation and Packaging:Verify material matches shipping documents prior to packaging (verifying material part numbers, serial numbers, etc. match documents provided with material.)Verify proper shipping documents are present with material being shipped.Create customs documentation for international shipments using PC based applications.Research shipping information using SAP and other computer applications as required.Complete packaging of material according to established packaging methods.Verify all required labeling is present on packages.Complete all shipping & receiving duties in a timely and accurate manor.Adhere to daily schedules, key performance indicators, departmental and company goals.Follow specific procedures and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.Responsible for reviewing, ordering, and maintaining a readily available supply of all the required packing materials for the department.Responsible for the orderly appearance of the Shipping & Receiving areas and related material storage areas.Must be able to enter, look-up, and verify data utilizing SAP, FedEx, UPS computer applications.Assist other team members with other material shipping and receiving duties as required.Participate in company sponsored training, continuous improvement, departmental training activity, and attend educational seminars as required.Assist with the decontamination of incoming customer material.Perform other duties as needed and assigned.Education:High School Diploma or the equivalent in education, training, and experience.Related Experience:2 + years of experience in receiving / shipping / warehouse functions.Special Competencies or Certifications:SAP / FedEx / UPS shipping applications experience preferredHazmat training / handling / shipping experience preferredMust be able to closely follow written and/or verbal instructionsMust have good communication skills and be able to effectively articulate and communicate information to co-workers and support personnel.Ability to work independentlyMust be customer focusedWork Environment / Conditions:Ability to work safely around open mechanical and electrical devices.Ability to safely use chemicals (e.g., cleaners, solvents, disinfectants, adhesives, epoxies, lubricants, gases).Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach within arm's length.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions.
