  DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  As a Liquor Store Clerk 2, you will be a lead shift worker. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and assisting other clerks with daily tasks. You will also assign and review work, and provide on-the-job training to your team on store tasks and policies, as well as lead by example in the performance of routine duties. You and your team will provide customer service, ring sales on the cash register, unload shipments, stock shelves, build displays, and clean the store. As lead shift worker, you will also complete accounting and inventory reports for product-related issues and oversee cash management to help keep our store running smoothly.

  While most of your work will be performed independently, you will have the opportunity to seek guidance and support from the manager or assistant manager in new or unusual circumstances.   Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 75 hours biweeklyWork hours vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday - SaturdaySalary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); orSix months of retail sales work.

  Legal Requirements:You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
