Description:
Responsibilities:
• Produced products according to specification as described on Work Orders:
o Set up and monitor Presses to target the tortilla sizing. Target size 0.5”.
o Set up and monitor Divider/Rounder to target correct scaling dough ball weight according to Work Orders.
o Set up and monitor equipment to produce uniform product: shape, roundness, and no cracking edges.
o Set up and monitor adequate baking of product. Product must have baking spots.
o Ensure adequate product net weight according to declare Net Weight on packaging and specifications. Adjust scaling weight accordingly to meet net weight requirements. Product should never be excessive 10 grams and never scale under declared weight on packaging.
o Ensure that product changes are achieved correctly by packaging leader.
• NEVER leave you production line unattended
• Ensure to meet company’s quality goals posted in the Plant.
• Immediately report any maintenance, sanitation or any other issues affecting production to your supervisor
• Fill Production Control reports accurately with all information requested on report according to interval set by the company.
• Fill Net Weight Control report accurately with information requested and according to interval set by the company.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Keep your work area and production line clean at all the times. Should never have product on the floor and maintain a clean & organized work area.
• Responsible to meet company goals such as: Efficiency, Yield and Fill Rates
• Ensure to follow company safety practices and policies.
• Report any/all food safety and/or quality concerns to your supervisor, QA, or a member of management.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to work at a pace to keep up with production so the line doesn’t fall behind.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, push, and/or pull up to 10-50 pounds.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be able to read, write, and count.
• Must be able to read a scale.
• Weekends and overtime may be required.
• Must be able to work as a team and keep a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work in adverse temperature conditions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
• Must be willing to cross-train in other production lines.
Back-up Personnel
• Any other operator shall be trained to cover the duties of the flour operator.
• The Production Supervisor may also serve as a backup for flour operator duties.
