　　Job Description:

　　The opening is for Technical Service and Development Engineer (job level is based on the skill package) to support building and infrastructure(B&I) business growth in Hong Kong and Macau. The role represents DCS B&I as a technical expert and contributes to the brand credibility in the building and construction market. This role requires, through learning or past industry experience, a good understanding of performance silicones technologies, façade knowledge, engineering design review, sealant glazing application, industry standard/certification and customer product/business model. The role needs to support project services including product specification, blueprint review, on-site (job site and/or manufacturing facility) Quality Control inspections and training, and ultimately project warranties.

　　Key responsibilities:

　　Closely work with sales for project opportunity specification and technically interact with key influencer for DCS product spec-in.

　　Engage technically with key partners/influencers in the responsible area through educating, problem solving and collaborations.

　　Be responsible to support project management service, including training, blueprint review, substrate testing, on site quality control inspections, and project warranties.

　　Provide application guidance and quality issue technical support.

　　Support new product launches and market introductions providing technical expertise and knowledge.

　　A fair amount of travelling in responsible area (HK, Macau, South China, etc.)

　　Additional potential responsibility: identify customer needs and support offer solutions based on requirements/performance/application in existing product portfolio or technology platform.

　　Qualifications:

　　A degree in engineering, preferably a civil/structural/architectural engineering degree

　　Has 3-7 yrs. technical expertise in construction industry, ideally in commercial glazing and façade segment .

　　More preferable competency: thermal modeling, finite element analysis capability/experience

　　Has the passion to work in a safe environment

　　Good learning agility in broad knowledge cross silicone chemistry, sealant glazing application, and engineering design

　　Ability to build customer relationship and trust, understand construction project involved parties & decision making process

　　Good verbal and written communication skills in English

　　Is able to work well independently as well as in team.

　　Good flexibility in change and/or conflict management

　　Is willing to travel 30-40% of his/her time
