Job Description: Our client is seeking a skilled Data Definition Consultant to provide expertise in defining and structuring data acquired from a recent company acquisition. The acquired company operates on Lawson version 10, utilizing modules such as GL, GL Sub-Ledger (AM, AP, AR), and PO. The client has received data in Excel format from Lawson tables but lacks the necessary data definitions and models. The consultant will play a crucial role in creating a comprehensive data structure to facilitate efficient storage, retrieval, and reporting in a separate database. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the client to understand the acquired data from Lawson version 10. Define data structures, models, and relationships for GL, GL Sub-Ledger (AM, AP, AR), and PO modules. Develop data definitions to ensure clarity and consistency in data interpretation. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements for the new database. Design and implement a robust database schema to store and manage acquired data effectively. Ensure compatibility with reporting tools and establish mechanisms for seamless data retrieval. Provide documentation for data definitions and models for future reference and knowledge transfer. Required Basic Qualifications: Proven experience with Lawson Financials. In-depth understanding of Lawson data models, specifically for GL, GL Sub-Ledger (AM, AP, AR), and PO modules. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficient in developing comprehensive data structures and models. Experience with data migration and transformation processes. Familiarity with Excel format data extraction from Lawson tables. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Excellent documentation skills. Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $90.00-$105.00 We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
