　　As a Laboratory Technician of commercial materials, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests involving soil, concrete, and asphalt samples.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Please note that the duties below may vary based on the changing needs of the company.

　　Prepare and test samples of concrete and soils to determine their properties, including strength, durability, permeability, and other mechanical properties.

　　Conduct tests on materials used in construction, such as aggregates, cement, and asphalt

　　Responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring that all testing procedures are performed accurately, and recording and analyzing data.

　　Responsible for writing reports and communicating findings to engineers, architects, and other stakeholders

　　Qualifications

　　High School Diploma or equivalent

　　Valid Driver's License and a good driving record

　　Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites, must be able to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly

　　Ability to read and write, ability to use a computer

　　Willingness to complete additional training or certification programs such as ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO’s, to specialize in concrete and soils testing

　　Previous experience working in construction preferred
