We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the finance team of a well-established property management firm, representing a client of Robert Half. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to the financial success and growth of our client's operations.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, highlighting key variances.
Generate ad-hoc financial reports to support decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets.
Collaborate in forecasting financial performance based on industry trends.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Review vendor invoices and customer billing for accuracy.
Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank statements and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Monitor cash flow and provide insights into financial liquidity.
Expense Analysis:
Analyze and track expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Work closely with operational teams to understand and manage expenditure.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain organized and detailed financial records.
Assist in implementing and improving accounting procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the property management or real estate industry.
Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
