HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
As an IT Helpdesk Specialist, you play a crucial role as the first point of contact for end users, ensuring optimal support and maintenance within the organization's evolving computing environment. Your primary focus is on documenting service requests through the IssueTrak ticketing system, assigning labor hours to all requests, and maintaining the highest internal customer satisfaction through efficient and complete services and support.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Set up and troubleshoot user systems, providing user training and administering help-desk support.
Maintain and administer the network and files, as well as the software used.
Assist in maintaining equipment and software inventory, tracking licenses and warranties.
Collaborate with other IT team members to document policies and procedures, set corporate standards for hardware and software, and evaluate/recommend new software systems and technologies.
Report to the End User Services Supervisor.
Be a self-motivated, detail-focused professional, adaptive, and accepting of new challenging tasks.
Provide first-level contact, troubleshooting, documentation, and resolutions through the IssueTrak ticketing system.
Conduct hands-on and remote desktop/peripheral maintenance, including hardware and software installation, diagnostics, configuration, and repair.
Perform new hire onboarding and termination offboarding tasks, including IT device preparation, account provisioning, and process documentation.
Handle virus and malware remediation.
Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer equipment and related devices.
Maintain printers, phones, teleconference equipment.
Install and maintain desktop hardware and software.
Field and log incoming help requests from end users.
Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems.
Analyze, isolate, and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
Collaborate with technical team members to assess network-related needs.
Work with external support vendors on various technical issues.
Assist in the maintenance of IT documentation and guides.
Escalate service requests through the IssueTrak ticketing system.
Support other locations when time permits.
Maintain sustainable inventories on all IT-related devices and equipment, documenting inventory.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Relevant bachelor’s degree, IT Certifications, and/or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years).
Knowledge of basic computer hardware.
Self-motivating and self-starting individual.
Ability to excel independently and as a member of a team.
Experience supporting remote users.
Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
Proven experience in an IT support role.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and support multiple locations.
