  Description of Work Unit

  Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities.

  The Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology ( MIP ) Department is comprised of over 400 individuals who share a common passion for solving some of the most important human and animal health problems today. Research programs include those related to mycobacteria, retroviruses, prions, and arthropod-borne infectious diseases, as well as the diagnostic investigation of naturally-occurring animal diseases. A leader in education, MIP provides the only microbiology undergraduate degree program in Colorado, a graduate program that provides training in a number of cutting-edge disciplines, and several specialized veterinary residency training programs.

  Position Summary

  Temporary Postdoctoral Fellow positions may become available throughout the year in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology in the area of infectious disease research.

  This is an open pool and applications will be forwarded as position(s) become available.

  Required Job Qualifications

  Applicants must have a doctoral or equivalent degree in Microbiology, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Veterinary Pathology, Epidemiology or closely related field at time of hire.
