The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking an Intern to join our Intellectual Property team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Intellectual Property team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Intern. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of Valuation and Management, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Requirements:

Pursuing undergraduate business degree in finance, accounting or bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, or hard or computer science with applicable work experience

Relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, MA, corporate finance, and/or intellectual property preferred

Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Strong financial modeling skills, including advanced understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies

Excellent oral and written communication skills

High degree of professionalism, integrity, and flexibility

Selfstarter with strong sense of ownership and urgency

Great attitude and client presence

Ability to go to the office 2-3 a week

Responsibilities include:

Construct financial analyses, including building complex models

Perform technology, industry, and company-specific research

Draft client presentations, pitch books, reports, letters, or memoranda

Assist with intellectual property landscape analysis and evaluation of patents/patent portfolios for salability

Identify and engage contacts at target companies

Interact with clients and management teams
