In this opportunity, you will be assisting and coordinating projects and meetings with international partners (government, industry, and academia) and U.S. government agencies on space system and space technology development and acquisition. Through close collaboration with key U.S. government entities, DoD Partnerships provides critical technical assistance activities in support of US, allied governments, and industry to enable a more capable, resilient, and interoperable space enterprise for the U.S. and its allies and partners.

What You'll Be Doing Develop, administer, and coordinate technical project plan and implementation and management tracking systems. Develop recommendations to support contract efficiencies and automation of program contract data.Assist leaders in studies and analyses that support technical, programmatic, and organizational decision-making on a variety of projectsCreate, analyze, and evaluate project goals, objectives, and milestonesProactively identify and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary. Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.Institute and maintain project metrics and schedulesEnsure compliance with project processes and procedural guidelinesCollaborate and coordinate with management and the technical teams, and provide reports and analyses as neededCoordinate project communication issues, turning points, and achievementsLead for international visits including technical meetings and workshopsThis position is available as a Project Coordination Specialist III or Project Coordination Specialist IV
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Project Coordination Specialist III Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related discipline5 years of program/project management experience to develop and maintain effective operation management processes, reporting, procedures, and systems.Experience leading process improvement efforts to reduce time and cost for generating required deliverables.Proficiency and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).Excellent written communication skills - organize complex materials and concepts in clear and logical mannerDemonstrated teaming and leadership skills in tasks such as formulating plans, leading studies, and utilizing internal technology competency organizations.Excellent verbal communication skills - clear, concise, persuasive; builds consensus through speaking; polished, professional styleWork under minimal supervision and work within deadlinesAvailable to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary. Up to 25% of travel.This position may require clearances issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.Project Coordination Specialist IV
