About the Division
The Building and Construction Technology (BCT) program is part of theApplied Technology division which is based in the new three-story, 135Ksq. ft. Advanced Manufacturing Building and the ST West Building at theDowntown Campus, just east of I-10 and Speedway Boulevard. The Buildingand Construction Technology (BCT) labs are located in the ST WestBuilding which is scheduled for renovation in 2024. The BCT labs willexpand from 2,500 sq. ft. to over 22,000 sq. ft. Building andConstruction Technology (BCT) faculty provide instruction in the studyof residential and commercial building construction and systems.
About the Position
The position is available beginning the 2024-25 academic year. Facultyteach and work a set schedule over a nine-month academic year, August -May, that could include day, evening, and weekend duties. This positionis expected to be able to work at various campuses, focused on theDowntown Campus.
Minimally, candidates will have experience in teaching all levels ofBuilding Construction and related management, including experienceteaching some combination of HVAC-R, Electrical, Plumbing, andCarpentry/Cabinetmaking. Electrical or Plumbing expertise is preferredwith residential and/or commercial building means and methods.
