JOB DETAILS: Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean ofOnline Education and Technology, the Instructional Designer will partnerwith faculty and staff subject matter experts to develop high-qualityonline, hybrid, hyflex, and face-to-face curriculum following currentpedagogical practices, cognitive/learning science, and design tools andmethods. This is a full-time, 12-month Academic Staff position.RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the development of training materials andprovide professional development to faculty and staff regarding currentresearch related to best practices for the development and teaching ofonline courses Assist with the selection, review, and integration ofeducational technologies to support pedagogical aims in online, hybridand hyflex Provide training to faculty on the use of the learningmanagement system and other associated educational technologies Aidfaculty and staff in locating and evaluating educational resources, andprovide guidance on issues related to copyright and fair use guidelinesMaintain a commitment to practitioner scholarship by keeping abreast ofemerging theories and practices Provide training and technical supportdirectly to learners in settings such as classrooms, labs, clinics, anddistance learning mediums Responsible for job related communications(e.g., emails, webinars, conference calls) Perform other duties asassigned by supervisor Applications received by February 29, 2024 areensured full consideration.
