About Instock Manager, Amazon Fresh Grocery

Description

Amazon Fresh is looking for an Instock Manager to join our Paleo team, responsible for ensuring the availability of fresh and highly perishable products such as bananas, strawberries, and chicken. If you're passionate about precision in buying and forecasting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are ready to make a significant impact on our grocery business, this role is tailor-made for you.

In this role, you will own developing plans and executing on initiatives that will support excellent inventory management, build an effective supply chain, and drive successful interactions with our partner teams.

To be successful in this role, you should feel comfortable using data to influence others and building scalable systems and processes to allow us our business to grow. In joining this team, you will have the opportunity to both build and operate in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and will drive initiatives that improve sales, customer experience, and process improvement within retail and operations.

Key job responsibilities

A successful Instock Manager will:

Manage inventory availability and inventory health including: improved instock, inventory planning, vendor operational improvement (efficiency, fill rates, lead time), forecasting, and waste reduction

Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve customer experience and overall cost structure of the business

Perform complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability

Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows

A day in the life

Note: this is a Hybrid role, requiring you to be on-site at least 3 days/week in one of our Amazon Fresh corporate offices.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of with Excel experience

4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience

Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control

Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
