As a Cloud Security SME, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on this role to monitor, analyze and assess the security posture of the customer’s Azure and AWS Cloud environments for security gaps, access controls, network settings, misconfigurations, and areas of high risks based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements using CrowdStrike Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) system.
HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Core duties involve security oversight for AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments in addition to management of security tools such as Crowdstrike CPSM
Evaluate the configuration, access controls, network settings, and compliance status, identifying security gaps, misconfigurations, and areas of high-risk
Document assessment findings and recommend remediation approaches based on those findings
Regularly review CSPM configuration and policies, considering changes to cloud environment(s), emerging security threats, and updates to the CrowdStrike platform
Implement security audit reviews verifying that the audit records are collected and reviewed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, 8+ years of experience
8+ years of experience working in a Multi-Cloud (Azure and AWS) environment
CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect or Security Engineer certification
Experience with security tools and user provisioning
Experience in security role managing projects as well as delivering and supporting customer security requirements
External and internal customer engagement
Extensive knowledge of access controls, operating systems, cyber domains, cloud security, vulnerability management, risk management, documentation (i.e.: System Security Plan) development, security operations and information assurance governance
Technical experience with networking devices (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN's), operating systems, databases, servers, workstations, virtual machines
Strong understanding of security boundary protection strategies to include Intrusion Detection/Prevention devices, compensating controls, and firewall rules
Understanding of account management processes
Collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams
Provide Weekly and on-demand Status Reports on work performed
Ability to meet with the customer onsite at least one (1) business day per week
Knowledge of:
Contingency planning and disaster recovery
NIST 800-53 Revision 5 security and privacy controls
Security authorization process
IT audits and associated processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Security+ certification
Experience with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SharePoint, Confluence, Trello or JIRA, ServiceNow, Visio and MS Teams
Experience with SCRUM and KanBan Agile Methodologies
Experience with any HHS agencies or entities
Demonstrated strong technical skills and analytic abilities
Demonstrated experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal direction
Possesses experience with communicating and presenting with key stakeholders and decision makers
Location: This is a hybrid opportunity requiring at least one day per week at our Rockville, MD location.

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
