Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our Fire TV Finance team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Kindle Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. This is an exciting opportunity to support Amazon Fire TV, the best-selling streaming media player in the U.S. and one of the fastest growing Amazon device businesses and the newly launched Fire TV 4-Series and Omni smart TVs. Devices industry experience is preferred but not required.As a Finance Manager, you will work directly with business leaders to identify opportunities and develop business cases for Fire TV. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self starter with strong business partnership, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon.Key job responsibilities- Develop the business case and the financial models for new devices.- Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to understand and influence the financials of all new and existing devices within the portfolio- Partner with horizontal Finance teams to drive free cash flow initiatives and forecasts- Drive finance communication with the business teams on product performance, financial impact, and risks & opportunities.- Generate and own lifetime value financials for all Fire TV products.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA | Sunnyvale, CA, USA- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
