Who We AreWith three campuses along Colorado s Front Range, Front Range CommunityCollege is the state s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety ofcultural and recreational activities.
Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-yearuniversities. FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that preparestudents for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earningcollege credit without having to pay college tuition. And we were recentlyranked as one of the Top Online Colleges in the country by Newsweek.

Our Nursing ProgramThe Westminster Campus Nursing Department(https://www.frontrange.edu/programs-courses/program-list/nursing-program/westminster-campus-nursing/index.html) offers a curriculum designed to meet theneeds of a rapidly evolving healthcare delivery system. Clinical experiencesinclude acute, home health and community agencies across the Denver metroarea.
Our faculty enjoy consistent schedules over the semester and a nine-monthcontract paid over 12 months (which leaves time for fun or spending time inthe field). And best of all, they get to influence the future of nursing byshaping the curriculum and skills of the nurses who will soon be stepping into fill our nation s nursing shortage.
Our nursing programs include a Nursing Associate of Applied Science (RN/ADN),a Nurse Aide certificate, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through our RNto BSN program.
We are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing(ACEN - https://www.acenursing.org/) and consistently ranked among the highestin the nation by independent organizations. We were #6 on the Top 25 AssociateDegree in Nursing Programs for 2021 (nationwide) according to Nursing SchoolHub (https://www.nursingschoolhub.com/best-adn-programs/).
Who You AreAs a Nursing Faculty, you will teach a full course load in Nursing which mayinclude theory, laboratory and clinical settings. Full-time faculty at FRCCare expected to assume instructional leadership roles. This includes hiringand mentoring part-time instructors, developing curriculum, schedulingclasses, working with industry and community groups, assessing studentlearning, serving on departmental and college-wide committees and serving as aprogram director or department chair. Online courses and evening classes maybe assigned. Full-time faculty at FRCC are expected to utilize technology andeffective teaching strategies to develop critical thinking skills, maximizestudent retention and success and support a learner-centered environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Master s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education from a regionally accreditedcollege or university.Equivalent of two years (4,000 hours) in Nursing practice within the last 5years.One full time year in nursing OR nursing education within the last threeyears. Eligibility for Colorado Vocational Credential.Current, unencumbered Colorado RN License.Proficient with current health related monitoring equipment and simulation.
