  Sodexo is seeking an Executive Catering Chef 2 for North Carolina A&T University located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Executive Chef will have oversight of our high volume catering department/team and the largest "all you care to eat" restaurant and Retail venues as needed. This role will be highly involved in succession planning, financial management, team development, marketing programming, Corporate initiative implementation/oversight as well as high levels of student engagement.

  North Carolina A&T State University is the largest HBCU in the nation. With an enrollment of just over 13,000 student North Carolina A&T State University continues to grow, both academically and from a foodservice perspective. Sodexo-Aggie Dining manages all national, proprietary and in-house brands and dining concepts with 2 main dining facilities as well as a full service catering department.

  The Executive Catering Chef will have oversight of our catering department consisting of 8-10 hourly members and an annual revenue of $1.5 million. This position will work closely with the catering director on event menu development, culinary training, labor and inventory management, as well as the management of the departmental expectations. This role will be highly involved in ensuring standards are met for each event and customer satisfaction is at the highest level.   The successful candidate will:

  be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;

  ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;

  have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;

  ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or

  have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

  Qualifications & Requirements

  Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

  Basic Management Experience - 2 years

  Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
