Job Responsibilities Day-to-Day:In this position theeVinci Fuel Analysis Engineer will be working with theadvanced fuel engineering team, including the eVinciTMMicro Reactor project team, to support modeling and simulation activities and can expect to be responsible for the following:Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor fuel, including thermal, stress/mechanical, and failure analysis, using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analysesWork with cross functional teams (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, materials, etc.) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the eVinci Micro Reactor and designInterface with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scopeOccasional travel to vendors, contractors, testing sites, etc., as needed to support development activitiesWho You Are:As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:BS Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent requiredMasters or PhD Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering desiredExperience with advanced fuel (TRISO or other) modeling or MOOSE/Bison modeling preferredExperience with fuel testing, licensing, code benchmarking, and code V&V preferredAnalytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent communication skills including technical writing requiredStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within an innovative development program
