About Equipment Center Representative

  Job Overview and General Purpose

  Support fleet operations and storeroom record keeping.

  Essential Functions

  Serves as a role model of excellent customer service by responding constructively to the needs of all those he/she interacts with on a daily basis on behalf of the organization; and includes modeling the corporate mission, vision, and values by displaying loyalty, trust, and care for the corporation and its assets.

   

  Assist with the AP function of the Equipment Center by costing invoices and researching and responding to inquiries.

   

  Enhances compliance with the PM cycle of the fleet by recording analyzing and reporting compliance data.

   

  Supports compliance with FMCSA regulations regarding daily inspections by accumulating, evaluating reports and by communicating deficiencies in a real time environment.

   

  Assists with quarterly fuel tax reporting requirements by accumulating, organizing and tabulating the reports.

   

  Assists the storeroom function by recording the transactional data.

   

  Serves as a backup for the repair authorization and PO process by learning the process taking calls as needed and recording data appropriately.

   

  Other duties as assigned.

  Education/ExperienceHigh School graduate.

   

  Language SkillsWritten Comprehension --- the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas using various reports and other correspondence in writing.

  Reading Comprehension -- the ability to read and interpret documents such as procedural instructions, and transactional data et.al.

  Oral Comprehension --- the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences, as well as the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas when speaking to individuals and groups. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  Technical skillsThe ability to use Word, Excel, and ERP software to record data and to build reports.

  Mathematical SkillsThe ability to effectively understand and apply basic concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to understand and effectively work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

  Reasoning AbilityAbility to effectively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  JudgementAbility to reach logical conclusions based on established evidence.  Able to maintain confidentiality.

  Follow Up and ControlAbility to evaluate whether directives have been understood and carried out.

  DriveDemonstrates personal accomplishment and a desire to excel; sets and maintains ambitious standards for achievement and makes things happen.  Takes ownership of position.  Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. 

  Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
