  Job Summary:

  The North Berwick Aero Systems Manufacturing Engineering Organization is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as a Production Support Manufacturing Engineer. This position provides the candidate with the opportunity to support a variety of engine programs with daily production support. While in this role, the candidate will provide daily support to production to ensure machines, tooling, and programs are running smoothly. The candidate will also be required to root cause and corrective action projects.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Interpretation of technical data such as Engineering Drawings, Quality Assurance specifications, etc., which will flow down into process work instructions.

  Update work instructions for clarity and continuous improvement.

  Work with shop floor to process Turnback data and improve process performance.

  Liaison between engineering team, tool room, and production.

  Provide production support by resolving manufacturing process issues in a timely manner across multiple manufacturing areas.

  Solve Andon issues through the automated Andon matrix system.

  Lead Root Cause & Corrective action investigations using root cause analysis tools.

  Review & modify tool designs, track and implement tool changes and corrections.

  Implement Standard Production System and lean process improvements to meet schedule and cost targets.

  Lead development of new manufacturing and quality technologies.

  Provide shift turnover communication for technical items.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related field

  Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Minimum GPA of 3.0

  Experience and knowledge of NC machining and assembly processes, including cutting tool application. CAD experience is desired.

  Experience with profile grinding

  Experience with electrical discharge machining

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

  Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
