What You Will Do
In this role, you'll be in charge of integrating and developing business solutions that involve real-time data exchanges between applications or importing/exporting batch files. The role primarily revolves around utilizing APIs, managing Flat File or Delimited Data, dealing with EDI X12, XML, JSON, and employing Web Services integration. The communication protocol standards using middleware applications form a significant part of your responsibilities. It's worth noting that the term "EDI" in this context can refer to Traditional EDI (EDI X12), flat file, delimited data, and/or the use of APIs as required by the integration tasks at hand.
Responsible for EDI mapping and implementation of EDI processes using one or more middleware data transformation / communication / mapping solutionsPlans and coordinates EDI activities with customers to implement new EDI transactions, monitor existing transactions, streamlines processes and troubleshoot problems Ensure adherence to existing methodologies, quality assurance standards and required checkpoints during EDI Implementation projects Oversee new EDI implementation projects as well as break/fix work for existing implementations Provide EDI Application Integration and Tier 3 technical support to Level 2 support staff. Proactively recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness, competitiveness, system stability, security, scalability and reliability What Skills & Experience You Should BringMinimum 2-3 years' experience of data integration implementation with intermediate to advanced mapping skills including ANSI X12 standards Working knowledge of at least one EDI Translation software package Experience with dealing with trading partners thru several phases of EDI communications Experience with web based communication protocols and security (FTP,FTPS,AS2, VAN-based EDI) Experience with unit testing methods and assisting users with UAT of EDI solutions Experience with T-SQL (Dynamic, Stored Procedures and Triggers) Familiarity and experience with architectural design Troubleshooting and supporting ERP systems Experience with web application architecture, enterprise software architecture, and web services, including use of APIsExperience with development technologies including .NET and SQL databases Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Trimble's Inclusiveness Commitment
