  Job Summary:

  Provides, promotes and supports a professional environment that utilizes effective delegation of responsibility. Performs technical aspects of pre-hospital emergency care and assumes responsibility for departmental leadership, quality management, staff development and customer satisfaction. Maintains responsibility for appropriate utilization of resources within the framework of established policies and procedures of SSM Health.

  Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  Establishes and maintains relationships with EMS customers throughout the assigned territory to maintain and grow EMS arrivals to organizational facilities.

  Works directly with EMS district leadership, supervisors and field medical personnel to promote SSM hospitals and create awareness of service capabilities at each SSM facility.

  Identifies educational needs for EMS personnel throughout the assigned territory and collaborate with SSM EMS resources to facilitate training.

  Develops, maintains and deploys sales and marketing plan for emergency services to increase EMS arrivals at SSM facilities.

  Plans, organizes, and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.

  Plans and manages the department budget, evaluating services and development activities.

  Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services and meet all productivity plans.

  Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  Performs other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience and graduate of an accredited EMS training program.EXPERIENCE

  Five years' experience, with two years' in leadershipPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  Rare climbing.

  Licenses / Certifications:

  Instructor (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA), Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), Paramedic - Oklahoma State Department of Health
