JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Designs and/or improves productsconsidering manufacturability, quality and cost with a thoroughunderstanding of design tools and methods. Reviews and approves workdone by associate and design engineers. Optimizes products consideringmanufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough understanding ofanalysis methods. Reviews and approves analysis done by peers. Solvesproblems with a thorough understanding of tradeoffs in problem solvingto drive optimized designs. Design or apply test protocols for differentproduct applications, environments and ingress protection. GD&T, FMEA,material selection, finishes, diecasting, sand and investment casting,injection molding, machining, stamping and other process selectionexperience. Conduct and contribute to project managementresponsibilities and Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) practices.Perform some setup, troubleshooting, product performance and capabilitytests for mechanical and electromechanical devices as part of thelearning and development process. Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEMA, ASMEand other international regulatory bodies and agency design standards.Experience with Mil-Spec standards is desirable. FEA and robustcorrelation experiences are desirable. PPAP, supplier development andqualification experiences are desirable. Manage multiple projects at thesame time and stay on track for required dates. Contributes to otherteams and projects as subject matter expert Leads more complex projects,analyzes and designs new products and systems, and improves existingproducts. Leads in capturing voice of customer and development ofproduct specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturingrequirements. Creates test plans and develops new test protocol forproducts or components, with a solid understanding of reliability andfailure mechanisms. Leads and represents teams within and outside theorganization, cross functionally and to senior leadership. Strongcustomer facing skills or potential. Always promote a safe workingenvironment by following established and required safety policies andpractices Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineeringwith emphasis in materials or electromechanical field; advancedtechnical degree preferred. 7+ years of relevant industry experience(mechanical/technical projects leadership, new product launch,manufacturing/quality engineering). Strong User of Microsoft Officeapplications (Word, Excel), CAD software (SolidWorks), PDM systems andERP system such as SAP.
