Applications are now being accepted for a full-time Deputy Sheriff Recruit for the Sevier County Sheriff's Office. Successful applicant will perform all duties in a learning capacity receiving on-the-job training in conjunction with POST training leading to the attainment of a Corrections Officer Certification. This is a conditional appointment. Failure to pass Utah POST certification within twelve (12) months of hire date will result in termination.

　　Performs a wide range of entry level, professional law enforcement duties intended to secure a safe environment for county citizens and to protect rights as established by federal, state, and local laws. As assigned, works, corrections, or civil processing.

　　Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain POST certification.  POST pre-entrance exam scores will be required with application.  If you are unable to take the POST Entrance exam, we may be able to administer the exam to you.

　　*Minimum Wage shown is before POST certification. Wage will be determined in accordance with the Sevier County Career Advancement System, with consideration being given for experience and/or education pertaining to the position.
