DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will assist with data entry, manipulation, and interpretation for an underground coal mine and/or coal refuse disposal area permit revision, as well as water loss investigations and stream flow recovery evaluations. You will support the California District Office in various aspects of the permitting process for underground coal mines and/or coal refuse disposal areas. You will assist the permitting staff with data entry and basic trend analysis, focusing on groundwater and surface water quality data submitted as part of the permit revision. Additionally, you will assist the hydraulic engineer in reviewing National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits by performing data entry and calculating the drainage area for receiving streams.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employmentThe employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
