Here, you will make an impact by:Leading Occupational Medicine programs and servicesSupporting Occupational Health professionals and 3M business units on a regional basis.Providing regional oversight for 3M required and regulated programs such as medical surveillance, pre-placement evaluations, and respirator medical evaluations.Plan implementation when public health emergencies occur such as pandemics, infectious disease outbreaks or natural disasters.Work cross functionally with Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Human Resources and Legal to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with regulations.Perform risk assessments in collaboration with Toxicology to ensure product safety.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionORDoctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionMaster of Public Health (MPH) degree or equivalentValid unrestricted U.S. Medical License with the ability to obtain a Minnesota Medical licenseBoard Eligible in Occupational MedicineThree (3) years of clinical medicine experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentValid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number Certificate of RegistrationAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Board Certification in Occupational MedicineBoard Certification in additional medical specialty such as Internal Medicine or Family PracticeMedical Review Officer CertificationExperience in evaluation of workplace exposures and managing complex return to work casesSkills include ability to work in cross-functional teams, project management and strategic planning, excellent communication, and public speakingWork location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M St. Paul Headquarters at least 2-3 days per week for limited clinical time at the onsite Occupational Health Clinic at 3M Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international travel.Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
