As the Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff. Your responsibilities in this role
Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team
Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash Requirements - Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
High attention to detail
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
CPA/MBA preferred
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
