　　How will you make a difference?

　　We are seeking a creative, driven and experienced leader to drive communications strategy and thought leadership for Wabtec’s global Transit organization. The Communications Director will develop and execute communication strategies that align with business priorities and drive each business’ story and brand, as well as lead crisis and change management communications. This includes conceiving and delivering strategic, integrated campaigns across a wide range of areas that excite key stakeholders (current and future employees, customers/business leaders, ecosystem partners, influencers/thought leaders, policymakers, investors and the media).

　　The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing a regular cadence of targeted blogs, media interviews and speaking opportunities that drive thought leadership, penned content including White Papers, as well as a robust social media engagement strategy. As a key communications leader at Wabtec’s Transit headquarters, the Communications Director will partner to develop and deploy measurable, creative, integrated and effective internal employee communication materials and programs that consistently reach employees at the Wabtec site in Gennevilliers, France.

　　What do we want to know about you?

　　Bachelor's Degree in the areas of Communications, Journalism, English or Liberal Arts

　　10+ years professional experience in Communications or related field in B2B environment.

　　Experience in technology, transportation or industrial sector desired. Sustainability awareness.

　　Fluent in English and another European language.

　　Experience in leading large trade fairs.

　　Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from c-suite executives to all other employment segments, and effectively manage in a matrix organization.

　　Clear thinker, with the ability to see and drive change.

　　Excellent project management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet aggressive deadlines with high standards for quality.

　　Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, influential communications.

　　Proven track record demonstrating the ability to formulate strategic communications plans.

　　Demonstrated strong writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills.

　　What will your typical day look like?

　　Lead the development and implementation of Transit team’s communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the overarching Wabtec communications and business strategy.

　　Serve as trusted advisor to Wabtec’s Transit leadership teams. This includes communications guidance and execution on complex, sensitive and business critical issues.

　　Build and execute holistic, multi-channel communication campaigns for key stakeholders.

　　Lead employee communications programs for Wabtec’s Transit organization to drive business strategy and alignment, inspire cultural transformation and foster customer centricity. Enable leaders to utilize the most effective vehicles for communicating business initiatives.

　　Accelerate commercial growth and raise the brand profile of Wabtec’s inventive culture via proactive PR, thought leadership, strategic speaking engagements, events and social storytelling.

　　Serve as liaison for external media relations on key topics such as sustainability, transformation, integrated transportation solutions and other related storylines in concert with corporate communications team.

　　Collaborate with key content partners in other functions and businesses to build effective relationships in a matrix’d environment, supporting diverse and dispersed stakeholders and initiatives.

　　Continuously experiment with new tools and technologies to modernize content distribution through digital, mobile, broadcast, and online channels to capture and engage an audience.

　　Drive qualitative and quantitative reporting metrics, analysis, and ROI that can demonstrate success against desired and stated outcomes.

　　10-20% of travel expected.
