Job Summary:
The Clinical Resource Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis and provides leadership and consultation in the clinical review, evaluation and procurement of products in their assigned portfolio. Collaborates with Contracting and Sourcing colleagues to lead multi-disciplinary teams, representing all clinical sites, through initiatives to decrease product variation, utilization and costs (Strategic Sourcing, Value Analysis, and Care Variation Management). This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing and presenting data and information from multiple sources, including physicians and clinicians. This position is responsible for acting as a resource for Supply Chain Managers, provider staff, clinical staff, clinical and financial leadership, value analysis committees and contracting/clinical committees.
Job Duties:
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies that support the organization’s annual savings objectives through identifying product standardization opportunities, resource consumption reduction, and/or savings ideas and brings them to the appropriate committee for action
Applies evidence-based healthcare practices and clinical standards in the implementation and evaluation of products and services
Facilitates teams to review utilization and options for product selection
Assists in facilitation of monthly Value Analysis Committee meetings
Collects, analyzes, and prepares information, conduct surveys and presents business case for decision making
Develops appropriate workplans and associated timelines to drive initiatives to completion
Identifies and collaborates on implementation of initiatives with all necessary parties
Designs a product conversion process from inception through implementation, including re-evaluation of conversion to determine if initial goals recommended have been achieved
Develops effective communication for clinical staff for all conversions and utilization projects and engages clinicians in discussion of practices and products resulting in successful savings opportunities
Ensures that HUB & Federal Small Business Programs are represented as required in the sourcing strategy/pipeline
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates healthcare business acumen to include procurement, supply chain, utilization, coding, billing, reimbursement and financial management of healthcare organizations
Demonstrates understanding of negotiation strategies and tactics
Demonstrates understanding of minimizing institutional risk
Good technical writing skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to plan, organize, and lead meetings or conduct presentations
Excellent problem resolution skills
Result orientated, decisive, team and customer oriented, analytical, strong communicator and innovative
Preferred Qualifications:
5 or more years of experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
Experience with Epic, PeopleSoft preferred
MHA, MBA, or other master’s degree strongly preferred
Perioperative, Endoscopy, Women Services experience
Contracting experience
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Partial remote, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and as needed on occasion.
