CaseManager core activities through DMSS will include housing navigation,ongoing case management services for participating families which includesassessment, search and lease up in housing, identifying and administeringappropriate financial interventions, referrals to community resources(clothing, food and other emergency assistances), and regular familycase management meetings including home visits as needed. The case managerwill also coordinate and facilitate participant orientation meetings.Duties and Responsibilities:A passion for the mission of The Salvation ArmyStrong communication and people skillsDemonstrated history of providing professional, effective programming withindividuals, children, and familiesAbility to complete timely and detailed documentation (including assessments)Ability to use professional judgment to determine appropriate interventionsDesire to serve others by building on their strengthsStrong skills in customer serviceCompetent in working independently within clear parameters in a teamenvironmentBi-lingual (preferred)Successfully pass background checkInternal PTM training within first three months of employmentValid Driver's licensePerforms other duties as required.Qualification and Education Requirements:Master's degree in social work (MSW), preferred.Bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Public Health orcomparable field required.Two years' work experience with homeless populations, preferably withfamilies in crisis.Experience with case management required.Be supportive of The Salvation Army's mission.
