  Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation Business is one of the leading global suppliers of products, integrated systems, solutions, and services for the sustainable, reliable, and efficient transmission, distribution, and control of energy.

  The Customer Services business segment is housed within the Electrification & Automation Business unit and are responsible for the business development, tendering and negotiation of service contracts, retrofits, upgrades, extensions and spares which will support our customers’ assets for their full lifetime cycle.

  We focus on both greenfield and brownfield installations having Siemens equipment portfolios of medium & low voltage switchgear, protection relays & SCADA and digital solutions.

  Our target vertical markets are data centers, renewables, utilities, mining, and minerals processing. Our business mandate covers Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

  We are currently looking for a Sales Professional to join our Customer Services team based in either North Ryde, NSW or Bayswater Victoria and reporting to the Customer Services Portfolio Manager. You will be responsible for the promotion of Siemens Customer Services for our Electrification & Automation portfolio, and developing technical and commercial proposals in line with customer requirements.

  Your goal will be to ensure our customers select Siemens to support, maintain and upgrade their network assets of power distribution and automation, with a particular focus on services for extending their operational lifetime.

  Job Overview

  You will promote and support the complete Customer Services Portfolio

  You will develop and tailor service offerings for both our external and internal customers

  You will work closely with our Sales teams to identify the needs of our customers whether it be services contracts, upgrades, retrofits, digitilisation and so forth

  You will promote and support the complete Customer Services Portfolio

  You will prepare offers or tenders for customers and develop appropriate pricing strategies

  You will advocate for customer’s needs within the organisation, including completing the handover to the delivery team.

  You will promote the importance of digitalisation topics such as Cyber security patch management services and condition monitoring

  You will push and promote these services with all our greenfield product & solution offerings

  You will promote our after sales support and maintenance services to customers with an existing Siemens install base

  You will compile and present solutions and or products presentations to customers

  You will maintain sales pipeline in Salesforce as well as completing other business administration tasks such as assisting with reporting to HQ

  You will leverage other business units’ competitive advantage to offer customers a more comprehensive solution at a better price point

  You will support and develop leads from the sales team for the service/support and solutions businesses

  You will promote products/services portfolio on social media such as LinkedIn (content support required).

  Your profile

  You preferably have a bachelors or post graduate degree in a relevant discipline such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or business administration.

  You have at least 5 years’ experience, preferably in the field of customer services in the electrification and power distribution domains and have been involved in winning and executing large, complex projects.

  You have a good understanding of tender preparation and cost estimating.

  You have a good understanding of commercial negotiations.

  You convert opportunities with strong customer orientation, cooperative negotiation skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a confident demeanor.

  You have a firm but calm approach with the necessary teamwork skills to operate successfully within a large multi-national company.

  Product and system knowledge of medium & low-voltage switchgear, energy system protection and automation, SCADA & related digital solutions is essential.

  A solid understanding of protection and SCADA engineering integration concepts that is sufficient to develop and articulate the value proposition to customers is highly desirable.

  You are proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Project.

  You are open to domestic and international travel when required.

  The job will be based in either our Bayswater office, Melbourne or North Ryde office, Sydney.
